Excellent - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
By "WB9PAR" - December 18 - 10:00 amI compared this car to others in the same category. Nothing else in the price range could compare. Conservative styling yet sporty. Handles very well and is quite. Wind noise with windows down is an issue. So far excellant mileage (27.8 MPG) Electric steering is effortless and has good feedback.

I love this car! - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
By Bob - August 15 - 3:33 pmThis car has proven to be reliable and capable performer. I average 23 mpg in town. My wife drives an X5 BMW and we take the Malibu Max on trips because on comfort, mileage and rear DVD player.I have had only one return to service for faulty rear deck supports. I am very happy with the build quality and performance of this car.

Im back after 23 years - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
By Joe Rand - February 9 - 5:56 pmThis is the first Chevy I bought since my 1982 Z28. The fact that its been that long tells you what I thought about Chevys "quality." Over the last 3 months Ive looked at the Mazda3, Audi A4, Subaru Outback, Baja, and Impreza, Mitsubishi Outlander, PT Cruiser, and the Saab 92x. All nice vehicles in their own right, but with all the rebates thrown at you it makes the Maxx the best value. I like the versatility. Most of the time Im the only one in the car, but at times I need to haul 4 more around. This car does that comfortably, plus I can get my bike in the back. The bells and whistles for the money are great. The back seat room was a big factor, and there is a ton of it.

A big guy in it - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
By fell&dontwhat2getup - December 5 - 7:33 amWe have had this car for over a year now. The dealership has always treated us right weve have had a few problems, but you can count on that for a new model in the 1st year. Down to the bottom line, would I make the same purchage again? Now I love my truck and I brought this for the wife to commute [174 miles a day]. The anwser is YES. Just wish the inside had a little bit more higher end plastics.Things pop off at times w/ no problems poping them back on. By the way Im 62" 285lbs and I fit in this w/ no problem.

My Chevy Maxx: - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
By Lane N. benda - November 6 - 12:53 amWhat a neat car. Purchased as 2nd car but has become our main car. Rides as good as my 2001 Buck LaSabre. Very quiet, smooth ride. Had to have rear right wheel replaced due to RPM chip being bad. Love the red color, sun roof and rear roof skylights. Took this car to Outerbanks of NC, great gas mileage. On board computer showed 33 MPG on this trip from PA to NC. Real math showed 30 MPG, still good for a hi speed heavy load trip. Sun roof has a rattle when opened. All in all a great car for the price. Steering a bit hard at times. My wife loves it. Lot of rear leg room.

Hellava Ride from GM - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
By Bruce - June 5 - 3:40 amGM is finally starting to wake-up. Lots of planning went into this vehicle. Never had a car with remote start, heated seats before. Now dont think I would want to be without. Enjoy sitting in the back and watching a movie with her on a long trip.

just thought the Maxx would be more... - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
By oct 2005 - May 4 - 5:30 pmGreat acceleration w/the v-6 engine. Left with doubts about brakes and steering and the sub-standard braking. Had to replace rear brake pads @ 58000 miles. What A Pity!!! Then you have the interest with the intermediate steering arm assemblies that have given so much crap to those who have purchased the electric power steering groups.
